Wkita

Weather, top dead center.

Not a model's guess. Its own forecast.

Computed for your spot

Wkita's server pulls NOAA's MRMS radar mosaic every two minutes, tracks how the rain is moving, and runs a 20-member ensemble forward two hours. The dial reads it minute by minute for where you are.

It tells you how sure it is

Each tick's brightness is the share of ensemble members that rain on you. Faint means maybe. Solid means bring the dogs in.

Rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain

Radar's dual-pol flag, wet-bulb and freezing-level math, and nearby station reports decide what's falling, in the radar colors you already know.

Never blank

Out of the server's range or offline? Your phone runs its own radar nowcast, then falls back to the model. You always get an answer.

When it's coming for you

It says when. Not just that.

Most apps show you a red blob and leave the math to you. Wkita does the math.

Warnings, pushed by polygon

The server checks every NWS warning shape against your saved spots and buzzes your Android phone. If the polygon misses you, so does the alert.

Lenses

Ten lenses for the calls weather makes for you.

A forecast is numbers. A lens is a verdict: go or don't, the window to do it in, and the one thing driving it. Turn on the ones that fit your life and set your own limits.

Examples shown. Every threshold is editable in the app, from your hard-freeze line to your crosswind limit.

Day and night, side by side

Every day shows its daytime sky and rain chance up top and the overnight below. Tap a day for both halves in one view: highs, the real overnight low, wind, UV, sun and moon.

Models agree, or split

GFS, ECMWF, ICON and GEM are compared for every day. A green dot means they line up; yellow means don't bet the hay on it.

Alerts for exactly when

Warnings and advisories run as bands across the hours and days they cover, so you see how long it lasts, not just that it exists.

Opens with one bar of signal

The forecast paints first and everything else fills in behind it. Lose signal and the last good forecast stays on screen. Swipe between your saved spots.

Feels like, drawn in

The Hourly screen runs 48 hours with temperature and feels-like on one scale, sky, rain chance, wind and gusts for every hour, sunrise and sunset marked.
